As an organization, the Create Columbus was formed to advocate for the success of all young people. As a population young people are experiencing the collective awakening of a country and witnessing the impact of prolonged trauma on the black people in our demographic; something that has been weighing down a people for centuries. This must end.

In response to the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and countless other black men, women, and trans people killed by police, victimized by the justice system, and disenfranchised by systematic racism, the Create Columbus will direct $25,000 in support of initiatives designed to:

    • Dispel systemic racism
      • In our communities, government, and institutions – we must create sustainable policies and action to drive change against inequality.
    • Improve public health and safety
      • By improving access to affordable housing, healthcare, and other essential services we believe we can build safer communities while divesting from police support.
    • Enhance community education and advocacy
      • Through educating the community how to effectively organize and lobby for systematic change we believe we can catalyze the next generation of informed advocates.
